Celebration of the 216th anniversary of the May Revolution in Jamaica 2026

The Embassy of the Argentine Republic commemorated the 216th anniversary of the May Revolution with a reception at the Official Residence in Kingston.

The event was attended by Honourable Alando Terrelonge, Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica, as well as representatives of the Government of Jamaica, members of the diplomatic corps, international organizations, the private sector, academia, and members of the Argentine community residing in Jamaica.

The reception provided an opportunity to highlight the values of freedom, participation and progress that inspired the historic process initiated in May 1810, while continuing to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Argentina and Jamaica.

The Embassy extends its appreciation to all those who attended and contributed to the success of the celebration.
