The Embassy of Argentina in Kingston celebrated the 214th anniversary of the May Revolution together with local authorities, businessmen and the Argentine community in Jamaica.
The Government of Jamaica was represented by the Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Alando Terrelonge, MP. Also attending were the President of the Senate, Tom Tavares-Finson, the Minister of Industry, Investment and Trade, Senator Aubyn Hill, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador Sheila Sealy Monteith.
Likewise, other officials of the Government and the International Seabed Authority, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in this city, officials of other international organizations, members of civil society, businessmen and representatives of business organizations were present.
The event had the collaboration of the private sector, including the main importer of Argentine wines, Harbor Wines, and the company Derrimon, distributor of ARCOR. Also present was the company ATL, importer of Volkswagen Argentina, which exhibited the Amarok pick-up, a model that is currently being exported to Jamaica.
